    Really enjoyed our tour with Edward this afternoon. He knows his cultural history of Ghent and kept us entertained as we wandered around the town centre. He also give us some good tips for restaurants and bars. His delivery was really good, I would recommend this tour.

Saint Nicholas Church is a fine example of Gothic architecture in Belgium and one of the most prominent landmarks in Ghent.

History

Dating back to the early 13th century, Saint Nicholas Church was built to replace an earlier Romanesque church, which burned down. Located in the old trade centre of Ghent, the church was particularly popular amongst merchants and sailors.
